Papers for the ‘Pieces of Eight’ project

Pieces of Eight is the working title of a project to develop a fundamental representation model for physics. Current work is focused writing papers to describe specific areas of physics in detail, in terms ideas expressed in the 'foundation paper' below.

An Absolute Phase Space for the Physicality of Matter (2010)

The physicality of single-interaction mechanics and their macroscopic implications are described as simply and concisely as possible. The 'how it works' aspects will also interest the casual reader, answering some cutting-edge questions where current theory is weak.

Abstract

We define an abstract and absolute phase space (“APS”) for intrinsic sub-quantum wave states, from three axes, each mapping directly to a duality having fundamental ontological basis. Many aspects of quantum physics emerge from the interaction algebra and a model deduced from principles of ‘unique solvability’ and ‘identifiable entity’, and we reconstruct previously abstract fundamental principles and phenomena from these new foundations. The physical model defines two-part continuous bosonic waves in the APS, and four-part fermions as snapshots of those waves when simple conditions are met. To illustrate the scheme, we provide examples of slit experiments and of QCD, and suggest approaches for other applications.
